received a Baseball Scholarship to play for coach Al Ogletree at Pan American University in Edingburg,TX.

At Pan American University, he played with honors, First Team All-American (Southland Conference) as shortstop. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates as a player in 1988. He coached 15U at xtremespeed in the summer of 2007, and has been a private instructor for hitting and fielding for the past 2.5 years.
